It is with deep sadness that the Takis Foundation announces the passing of the international sculptor Panagiotis Vassilakis, known as Takis.
A true pioneer, innovator and legend. He will be forever missed.
A prolific and visionary mind, whose ingenuity, passion and imagination was endless, Takis explored many artistic and scientific horizons, as well as music and theatre, and redefined the boundaries in art.
Thanks to his creative genius on so many levels, his generosity and his exceptional intuition, Takis was ahead of his time, which widely contributed to his success throughout the world. Today, we have all lost an extraordinary mind.
The Takis Foundation offers his family, relatives and friends its deepest condolences. The greatest tribute we can pay today is to continue to follow his visionary path, where -to quote Takis- ‘’everything is mind and motion”, so that the unique legacy of Takis can live on.
